Abstract Rude+Tribe Uniqe: P.A.I.N.T

This album is the newest release from AB Rude and Tribe Unique. I am to write a review of this project, and in order to do so I had to listen to it and absorb the beats, words, voices tones, vibe, messages, stories, and interludes, then summarize the album in order to inform all people of the earth who are interested,; who made it, how it sounds, and what I think it is. And in order to follow through with that, I have to drop a tiny pinch of opinion into the review stew whether I like it or not by reason that I can't concisously control the filters I absorb the world through. So I am sorry if the fact that I like all these emcees and producers sneaks in or shows up in the review, but I truily make an attempt to approach each album  (in this case PAINT) very objectively and without the previous opinions or assumptions I automatically have formed after already having heard these cats and their music before. P.A.I.N.T is produced by Elephant Fat Jack, Rob the Viking, Daddy Kev and numerous other fine composers who are accompanied by an impressive line up of lyricists so large in size it almost borders on too many (It probably would be too many if the majority weren't extremely talented).  Independent artists  Eyedea, Aceyalone,  Rhettmatic, Mikah 9, Grouch, 2Mex, Slug, Self Jupiter, Medusa, Eligh, Awol one, Xololanxinxo, LMNO, p.e.a.c.e, MokaOnly, Kool DJ EQ, Dr. EZ, Busdriver, J Smoov and others appear all over the album and make mud out of not one song. In my opinion, the beats are fantastic. They are not so complex or dark. They bounce a bit and feel warm. Each beat fits AB's great voice and could easily be the best beat on the track. The words and topics and meanings are full of crisp images of life from the perspective of the MC that range the entire spectrum, but always within the realm of truth, and true peotry. A celebration of creativity. Praise for this music, it is a fresh sound to my ears. This record brings messages of independence, revolution, expression, advancement, innovation, freedom, creativity, and above all the lust and love of music. Individually I was very delighted with the lyrics  that AB Rude wrote for this album. I personally feel that this is his best work with the words yet. Underground Fossils, Mood Pieces, Thynk Tank and the other earlier albums are in no way beneath this album in terms of freshness, but I really noticed the growth and developement as an Emcee AB and others have gone through. This album is 18 tracks full of fat beats and powerful words along with a grip of other emcees and producers, who just so happen to be some of the best in the underground "industry."  Chalk up a win for AB and Project Blowed in the fight against ridiculous, hollow music that doesn't sound good. As said in the album..."It's  the dawning of the age."  Three thumbs Up.
